A cleaning pad helps with the prescribed cleaning step; application cloths are intended for applying the appropriate Protector or Shield. So before you begin, check which tools are needed for each product. This lets you have everything you need for the complete treatment ready in advance.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eGolden Care offers the three cloths in this pack as tools for applying Protectors and Shields. This does not mean that every product is applied in the same way. Refer to the label on the bottle you are using for the quantity, application method and any finishing steps.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eA well-prepared surface\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFirst check the material and existing finish of your furniture. Follow the cleaning and further preparation instructions for the treatment you have chosen. For a teak protector, Golden Care specifies, among other things, that the wood must be completely dry and dust-free. An application cloth does not replace this preparation; use it once the surface is ready.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor a colour treatment with, for example, \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/teak-protector\"\u003eTeak Protector Honey Brown\u003c\/a\u003e, first shake the bottle as instructed and test the colour. Golden Care then recommends applying a thin, even coat with a lint-free cloth. Follow the specified number of coats and drying times, even if applying the product itself takes little time.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eThe right technique and finish for each product\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor \u003ca href=\"\/en\/products\/teak-shield\"\u003eTeak Shield\u003c\/a\u003e and a patina-grey surface, the Dutch instructions specify applying the product by dabbing. Rubbing may affect the existing grey appearance. This is another reason to read the product instructions before using the cloth.
