Stone Protector 500 ml helps your stone garden table top repel water and dirt. Golden Care developed this protector for suitable natural stone and composite surfaces. Use it after cleaning, when the top is completely dry and dust-free. The treatment helps prevent stains and fits into a regular maintenance routine for your garden table.

Which table tops can you treat?

Golden Care lists natural stone and composite stone, but also concrete, Spraystone, fibre cement, ceramic and terracotta. In addition, check the finish of your table and the manufacturer's advice. A material name does not always indicate what top layer is on the top. Therefore, first make a test on an inconspicuous part and assess the result before treating the entire surface.

Do you have an HPL or Polywood top? Then choose the maintenance route that belongs to that material. The instructions for Stone Protector do not automatically apply to another protector. The maintenance guide for ceramic and HPL lists the different material routes side by side.

A clean and dry base

First clean a soiled top with a suitable cleaner. Golden Care recommends Multi Surface Cleaner for this. Remove the loose dirt, rinse carefully and let the surface dry completely. Before protecting, check if there is still dust on the top. This is how you carry out the preparation prescribed by the bottle instructions.

Also prepare a soft, lint-free cloth and cover the surface of your work area. Use the gloves and eye protection mentioned on the label. According to the Dutch instructions, the application temperature for this stone protector is between 5 and 25 °C.

Thin layers and sufficient drying time

Shake the bottle for at least one minute. Then apply a thin layer with the lint-free cloth. Let the first layer dry for 30 minutes and then apply a second thin layer. After that, the bottle instructions state to let it dry for 24 hours before exposing the surface to the weather. Therefore, plan the treatment allowing enough time for both layers and drying.

Golden Care advises repeating the treatment twice a year; table tops may need attention more often. During the next maintenance, reassess the material, the dirt and the finish. For the cleaning step, you can view the Multi Surface Cleaner 750 ml. Always follow the current label on your bottle if instructions differ.

How to use this product

  1. Check the material and finish and perform a test on an inconspicuous part.
  2. Clean the suitable surface, rinse and let it dry completely and become dust-free.
  3. Work at 5 to 25 °C, protect the work area and shake the bottle for at least one minute.
  4. Apply a thin layer with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  5. Let dry for 30 minutes and apply the second thin layer.
  6. Let dry for 24 hours before exposure to weather conditions; follow the current bottle label.
