A garden furniture set often consists of different materials. Golden Care Multi Surface Cleaner is a ready-to-use cleaner for suitable hard garden furniture surfaces. The product removes dirt, grease and stains and contains 750 ml. Choose the application according to the material and finish so you can clean the frame, tabletop and plastic wicker specifically.

One set, different material choices

Golden Care’s Dutch training mentions, among other materials, powder-coated aluminium, cast aluminium, plastic, polyethylene, plastic wicker, Textilene, vinyl, HPL and Polywood. Always check whether your furniture’s material and finish are covered by the instructions. If in doubt, consult the furniture manufacturer’s care advice.

Plastic wicker and rope can both be described as woven materials at first glance. For textile rope and cushions, Golden Care recommends the Fabric route. Natural reed or rattan is a material in its own right. So identify what you actually want to clean before applying one product to the entire set.

Preparing to clean

First remove loose dirt according to the furniture care advice and inspect the surface. Check for a damaged or peeling coating. The Cleaner is intended for dirt; any remaining marks or material damage require a separate assessment. Cleaning does not replace advice on repairing the coating.

Protect the work area and wear the household gloves and any other prescribed protective equipment mentioned on the bottle. Test on a small, inconspicuous area. The Dutch instructions describe the cleaner as ready to use: apply it directly. If the instructions differ, always follow the label on your own bottle.

Clean carefully and rinse with water

Golden Care’s Dutch instructions specify a three-minute dwell time. Then clean gently with a suitable soft sponge or cloth, chosen for the material and finish. Do not use a hard tool on a delicate surface just because dirt is stuck in one spot. Refer to the furniture care advice alongside the product instructions.

After cleaning, rinse with clean water and repeat the step if necessary, according to the label. Allow the furniture to dry thoroughly before applying a suitable protective treatment. For woven materials, also take the time to finish the treated sections and joints according to the care instructions.

Choosing a suitable Protector

If you want to apply protection afterwards, choose the Protector based on the material you have cleaned.
